Thank you from the Albert Valley School
Never underestimate the impact that an old football shirt can have. Here is an email I just received from the Albert Valley School in Uganda. When you receive an email like this is makes everything so worthwhile, give it a read below...
"Dear Chris,
They have arrived safely! They were collected from Kampala on Monday 25th and are now at school. I plan to update you with photos of students parking them in our school store. I am still waiting for the photos.
Students were very excited to receive them. I was told that they waited for the bus carrying the kits singing songs of joy and the whole town was wondering as to what was happening, until the bus arrived and every one was very amazed for such invaluable kits which students were carrying to school.
Today the draw was made for the National Secondary schools football competition at the district level, where the winners will proceed to the regional level then National. They will start in mid march.
The kits have strengthened the players because they arrived at the right time. They are looking forward to being smarter than any other team during the competition and they have vowed to move on until they qualify for National level competition.
Every one is so grateful for your support. I will keep updating you how the kits are transforming the lives of the students and the community in Ntoroko district-Uganda.
Thanks so much.
